Small Business Consultants and Business Plan Writers. Freelance Consultants.

Founded in 1993, Strategic Thinktank, Inc. is a small business consulting practice located in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

We have over 15 years experience counseling, mentoring and assisting startups to existing small businesses.

Our specialty is business planning services including but not limited to:
  1. Business Plan preparation and
  2. annual Marketing Plans with budget.

Business Plan Preparation

Our most popular offering is business plan preparation with 3 to 5 years financial projections. The purpose of a business plan is twofold:
  1. It serves as a roadmap to operating your business.
  2. It enables business owners to secure financing, investors and/or an advisory board.
Once a business plan is complete, it demonstrates that the business owner understands his business and has a well thought out plan for running it.

Whether you are starting a business from scratch or purchasing an existing one, the owner is expected to lay out his plan for operating and running his business. Anyone looking at your plan should be able to see that you know what you are doing and can run this business successfully with the identified resources.

Marketing Plans

The marketing plan is our second most requested service offering, and is usually developed in conjunction with the business plan. Marketing plans are usually developed on an annual basis and serve as internal company documents.

Unlike the business plan which serves as a longer-term document (usually 3 to 5 years), the marketing plan is prepared annually and represents an in-depth analysis of:
  • Your market potential,
  • Realistic determination of whether the market you are in is growing, flat or shrinking,
  • If the market is segmented by pricing, quality, age, income or product usage,
  • Who the target audience is and finally
  • Your competition and where you stand relative to them.
Our business and marketing plans are customized to fit your individual needs. This is not a canned process but one that reflects the true nature of your business and its financial requirements.
